Full Spectrum Tongkat Ali (Dual Extraction) Extract Powder - Wild Harvested
Full Description ✧
Very few tongkat ali products on the market have been carefully extracted in a dual process using both alcohol and water extractions. We purposefully perform a dual extraction at a 10:1 ratio (vs 100/200:1 as many other products) as we understand that although equivalency calculations are important, they cannot always be relied upon when comparing products.
It is also why many herbalists speak about experiencing better results from 1:1 or 1:2 liquid extracts than some higher-strength extracts, even when using the same dry herb equivalent amount. This is due to the functional phytochemical profile being compromised in order to get a more impressive-looking herb extract ratio
We have included more information on this subject in the section below titled 'Additional Extraction Info'
All our tonic herb extract powders are produced to the highest quality using state-of-the-art spray technology that allows the liquid extract to be carefully dehydrated into a micro-fine powder that will dissolve into any liquid or warm water.
They are supplied in dark glass containers and are free of any additives and fillers, synthetic ingredients, preservatives, flours and other bulking agents, GMOs, dairy and gluten, and each powder is thoroughly tested for heavy metals, pesticides and other contaminants - a certificate of analysis is available upon request for each herbal extract

Start with 0.5g (approx ¼ level teaspoon) with warm water, or added to your favourite tea, smoothie or beverage of choice. Can also be sprinkled on salad, or hot foods.
It's difficult to recommend a dose that will suit everybody but if you are slightly built or elderly, 0.5g daily may be enough. If, on the other hand, you are a huge hulking bodybuilder you may need 1-2g daily. We recommend starting with 0.5g daily and increasing as required. For the best results, we suggest taking Tongkat Ali in cycles. Use either 7 days on 4 days off cycle, or 10 days on 5 days off cycle, whichever works better with your routines.
This is a potent and concentrated extract; we recommend the powder be taken with food and plenty of water, to avoid possible stomach discomfort.
Additional Extraction Info ✧
We are regularly asked why our tongkat ali extract is only 10:1
The answer to this question is more complex than often understood. We could extract (and potentially denature) the tongkat ali by performing a 100:1 ratio extract; however, our research tells us that a more natural 10:1 ratio extract gives far better results, giving a full spectrum product which is much closer in its phytochemical profile with the root in its natural form.
In regards to ratios/strengths and the different options available from other suppliers, it's important to understand that the concentration of a natural product can also be a major confounding factor in the actual effectiveness - whilst you might have a 50:1 mathematically, the real question is, do you have an extract that is 50 times stronger than the original dry material? Whilst obviously, the choice of substrate and method of extraction plays a role here, the concentration step adds another factor, and the outcome largely depends upon the active chemistry of the plant/herb.
For example, if the active constituents are volatile, then using heat and/or vacuum concentration will remove the extraction substrate and a large proportion of the active constituents. Likewise, if the constituents are unstable at higher temperatures, you have to be very careful to ensure that those temperatures are not reached; otherwise, the constituents will degrade.
This is why equivalency calculations are important but cannot always be relied upon when comparing products. It is also why many herbalists speak about experiencing better results from 1:1 or 1:2 liquid extracts than some higher-strength extracts, even when using the same dry herb equivalent amount. Again, this is due to the functional phytochemical profile being compromised to get a more impressive-looking herb extract ratio.
So it is for this reason that in our range of tonic herb extracts, our primary focus is on sourcing to ensure we have the best source material we can find, and then we stick to a 10:1 extract, as this ensures that the end product is not denatured and the balance of its constituents work together as nature intended.
