Our award-winning jiaogulan gynostemma tea is grown on small organic farms in the highlands of Thailand where the air, water and soil are some of the best in the world. After harvesting, we pan dry immediately and then follow with a forced air drying method that allows us to preserve the integrity of the leaves.

The leaves are then de-stemmed before being packed as our premium grade loose leaves.
In Asia, Gynostemma is known as a 'magical grass'. It strengthens the immune system and has been used for a variety of health concerns. It contains substances called gypenosides which are similar to the active constituents in ginseng, but jiaogulan contains over three times as many. Furthermore, jiaogulan is believed to have a superior action to ginseng, being more supportive without causing overstimulation. In China, it is often referred to as 'women's ginseng' since it is considered to be much kinder to women's body systems than ginseng.
Our exclusive nonpareil grade is fresh and organic, with no fertilizers, no pesticides, produced in the mountainous regions of Northern Thailand, it is certainly the best grade available.

* Our jiaogulan is grown by a collective of local Thai farmers in Northern Thailand, who do not generate enough income to pay the large fees required for international organic certification on each of their farms, so although our jiaogulan is grown with great care using only organic practices, we are not able to put this under our certificate.
