Most incense sticks sold on the high street contain synthetic fragrances, charcoal binders, and chemical accelerants that release harmful compounds when burned. Natural incense is fundamentally different. It consists of pure plant materials, whether resin, wood, dried herbs, or bark, burned in their whole, unprocessed form with nothing added. Our Natural Incenses collection includes sustainably sourced palo santo sticks, pure frankincense resin, white sage smudge bundles, and other traditional aromatics used for centuries in ceremonial, meditative, and spiritual practices worldwide. When you burn natural incense, you are inhaling only what the plant itself produces.

Palo santo (Bursera graveolens) has been used by indigenous South American communities for generations to cleanse spaces, calm the mind, and support respiratory health. Its sweet, woody, slightly citrus aroma is grounding and uplifting simultaneously. Frankincense resin (Boswellia) holds an equally ancient history across the Middle East, North Africa, and India. When burned, it releases boswellic compounds that have been studied for their calming and anti inflammatory properties. Both are exceptional tools for meditation, yoga, breathwork, and simply creating a peaceful atmosphere in your home.

Frankincense resin is traditionally burned on a charcoal disc placed in a heat safe dish or censer. Light the charcoal, wait until it glows evenly, then place a few small pieces of resin on top and enjoy the slow, fragrant smoke. Palo santo sticks are simpler: hold one end at a 45 degree angle, light it, let the flame burn for 30 seconds, then blow it out and allow the fragrant smoke to drift through your space. Smudge sticks work similarly. All natural incense should be used with good ventilation, a fireproof surface, and mindful intention.
