What are fulvic and humic?
Long before this bottle, there was ancient plant life. Over great stretches of time, layers of it settled in freshwater ground, broke down, and were slowly transformed by the earth into deposits known as humate. Fulvic and humic are drawn from these deposits: complex, carbon-rich substances that carry the minerals and trace elements of the plants they once were. Fulvic is the smaller and lighter of the two, dissolving completely in water. Humic is larger, darker and more robust, with a higher plant-mineral content. This blend carries both, in balance.
What is in the Mineral Blend?
Each capful holds fulvic and humic together with the trace minerals, electrolytes, enzymes and amino acids naturally present in the source humate, in an alkaline liquid with a pH between 8.6 and 9.6. Nothing else is added: no flavourings, sweeteners, preservatives or additives. Humic matter is so complex that it has never been reproduced in a laboratory; the only way to make it is the earth's way, slowly. All Vital Earth minerals are classified as Vegetal Bio-Mass Minerals, meaning they are of plant origin rather than ground rock.
How is the Mineral Blend made?
The humate is gathered from a single freshwater source high in the mountains of New Mexico, far from modern pollution, and Vital Earth extracts it with nothing but cool, purified water. No chemical acids, no high heat, no pressure extrusion. The source material is used at full strength and never reused across batches. It is this slow, careful method that keeps the fulvic and humic intact, exactly as they occur in nature, and gives the liquid its naturally alkaline pH.
How is this different from colloidal minerals?
Colloidal minerals are solid particles suspended in liquid. The minerals here are different: they are ionic, fully dissolved, so fine they cannot be measured as particles in the liquid at all. A different form of mineral altogether.
How do I take the Mineral Blend?
One capful (1 oz) a day, on its own or stirred into water or juice. The taste is mild enough that most take it neat, and gentle enough that parents find it an easy addition to the family table.
