Full Description

The essential oil obtained from Frankincense resin, is considered sacred by many cultures. It symbolizes light energetically. Frankincense trees grow in dry, sunny regions.

Frankincense is usually harvested by tapping the Boswellia tree's bark (striping) and letting the resin bleed out and harden into "tears," referred to as the tree's "blood" and as crystallized drops of sunlight by the ancients.

The frankincense resins sourced for this oil are naturally yielded by the tree without manual tapping or injury! So the sustainability of our resin is a major key point of difference when considering other varieties of frankincense. There is literally no other quite like it.

Frankincense essential oil, obtained from the Boswellia neglecta tree in Kenya (known as Black Frankincense for its black resin), is considered sacred and symbolizes light. Grown in dry, sunny regions like Somalia and Oman, it's harvested by tapping the tree bark and allowing the resin to harden into "tears." The oil is used for protection, cleansing, and physical benefits such as relieving headaches, aiding respiratory issues, and improving skin conditions in meditation and spiritual ceremonies.

Frankincense trees come in various species and varieties, each yielding different types of resin and oil due to differences in soil and climate. Despite these variations, all Frankincense essential oils have numerous benefits.

For skin health, Frankincense oil is both a cicatrisant and cytophylactic, promoting skin healing and reducing scarring, boils, acne, and stretch marks. It also helps regenerate healthy cells and acts as an antiseptic on wounds. Its benefits can be experienced in facial creams for wrinkles.

For digestive issues, Frankincense stimulates digestive juice secretion and eases indigestion and gas. It is also a carminative.

In terms of respiratory health, Frankincense oil is a powerful expectorant and helps with respiratory issues such as colds, flu, asthma, bronchitis, and congestion.

Frankincense essential oil is rich in monoterpenes, which have several benefits. Monoterpene-rich oils are mild antiseptics and decongestants, and can also provide relief from muscle pain and stiffness. They are easily absorbed by the body, making them effective penetration enhancers. Additionally, they can help purify the air and eliminate unpleasant odors. Furthermore, monoterpenes have a mild antibacterial effect and anti-inflammatory properties, making them useful for various health concerns.

Frankincense Neglecta, derived from the Boswellia Neglecta tree in Kenya, is similar to other frankincense species but contains an added bonus: terpinen-4-ol. This compound, also found in the renowned tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), gives Frankincense Neglecta powerful antifungal and antimicrobial properties in addition to its already well-known anti-inflammatory properties. This makes Frankincense Neglecta a unique and valuable species of frankincense.
