What is Cacao Paste/Liqour? ✧
Cacao paste, also known as cocoa liquor or cocoa mass, is the purest form of chocolate.
This essential element of chocolate production is produced directly from the cacao beans, the seeds of the cacao tree.
The process of creating cacao paste starts with carefully harvesting and fermenting the cacao beans. Once fermented, the beans are carefully dried and then roasted to unveil their intricate flavours.
The roasted beans are then cracked and de-shelled, revealing the soul of the cacao bean, and its chocolatey essence. The de-shelled beans are then finely ground into a velvety, unctuous paste - this is pure cacao paste or cocoa liquor.
This pure natural paste is unadulterated, without any additives or sweeteners, imparting a bold, bittersweet chocolate taste. This pure paste is then put into the moulds to produce the chocolate buttons you find inside your Na'vi pouch.
