✧ What is Kamut Wheatgrass Juice Powder?
Kamut is the name given to an ancient Khorasan wheat, a heritage grain from the Fertile Crescent that has never been hybridised. We use its young, emerald-green grass blades, cut at their peak and long before any grain forms. Our Kamut wheatgrass juice powder is the pressed juice of that ancient variety: raw, chlorophyll-rich and naturally generous in folate, B-vitamins and plant protein, a living way to bring raw greens into your day.
✧ How is Kamut different from modern wheat?
Most of the wheat grown today is not the wheat our ancestors knew. Over the last century, modern bread wheat has been hybridised and re-bred again and again, selected for heavy yield, fast growth and a short, uniform stalk suited to large-scale industrial farming. It is a plant shaped by the demands of mass production.
Kamut is the opposite. As an ancient Khorasan variety it was never put through any of that: it grows today just as it did thousands of years ago, with nothing bred out of it and nothing bred in. Where modern wheat was changed for speed and yield, Kamut was simply left alone.
This is why we chose it. Our wheatgrass is pressed from the young blades of this heritage grain, field-grown on organically certified land, never from the fast-bred industrial wheat that fills most fields. Choosing our Kamut wheatgrass means choosing grass from a plant with an unbroken ancestral line, raw and as it has always been.

✧ What's the difference between Juice Powder and regular Wheatgrass Powder?
Most wheatgrass powders are just the whole grass, dried and ground, fibre included. Ours is different. The fresh young Kamut grass is cold-pressed, the coarse cellulose our bodies cannot digest is removed, and only the juice is dried. The powder that remains is more concentrated and dissolves smoothly into water, without the grittiness of whole-leaf powders.

✧ How is Kamut Wheatgrass different from Barley Grass?
Our Kamut wheatgrass and barley grass juice powders are sisters, made the same cold-pressed, low-temperature way, and they complement each other rather than overlap. Kamut comes from ancient Khorasan wheat and leans towards the B-vitamins and protein, naturally richer in folate, vitamin A, thiamin (B1) and plant protein. Barley grass leans towards the minerals, naturally higher in iron and calcium, and it is the one of the two with measurable vitamin C.

✧ How is our Kamut Grass grown and harvested?
Our Kamut grass is field-grown in the USA on rich soil surrounded by open wilderness, and cut young to capture the most from each blade. Within hours it is juiced, then dried straight away by the oxygen-free BioActive Dehydration process at under 41°C (106°F), gentle enough to leave the colour, enzymes and nutrients essentially intact. It is as close to fresh Kamut grass juice as a powder can be.
✧ How do you use Kamut Wheatgrass Juice Powder?
Half to one heaped teaspoon (2 to 5g) daily, stirred into water for a quick green shot or blended into smoothies, dressings and raw dishes. Mild and family-friendly, suitable for children too. Many greens drinkers keep it beside our Barley Grass Juice Powder and switch between the two.
✧ Is Kamut Wheatgrass Juice Powder gluten-free?
Yes. Although wheat grain contains gluten, gluten forms in the seed, not in the young leaf. Kamut wheatgrass is cut as a tender green shoot, long before any grain develops, so the grass, and the juice pressed from it, is gluten-free. Ours is independently NSF Certified Gluten-Free.
